Forest
Lakes abounds with recreational opportunities, including two large
swimming pools (North and South), 10 tennis courts (8 lighted), two
outdoor basketball courts, a fitness center, two recreation fields,
a sand
volleyball court, multi-purpose field, and miles of paved and
unpaved trails.
These facilities are open to all residents and their guests (pool
requires guest fee). To use the pool, tennis courts, and
fitness center you must first fill out this
resident information form.

Join
any time. All
levels, ages, sizes and those with special needs are welcome. Tech and
Flow I – Moderate flow of yoga poses concentrating on alignment and
technique. Helps with balance, concentration, flexibility, and overall
well-being. Tech and Flow II – A continuation of Tech and Flow I with
more balance work and a longer time in the poses. Helps deep core
training and further development of balance and concentration.

Here are
the current field reservations. Priority for use
of the fields is: 1. Youth athletic team with a Forest Lakes
resident as Head Coach, 2. Youth athletic team with a
resident as Assistant Coach (must be listed on official team
roster), 3. Youth athletic team with a resident as one of
the parents, 4. Adult athletic team with a resident as a
player or coach. Fields will be closed during damp
conditions. Please do not use the fields when they are
damp, as it tears them up.

Lakes
offers low-traffic residential streets, miles of
paved paths, as well as unpaved trails
for road and mountain biking. In addition, the area has
numerous bike and racing clubs (Charlottesville
Bike Club,
Charlottesville Racing Club, and
Charlottesville Area Mountain Bike Club) offering regular
group rides throughout the spring, summer, and fall. There
are also several bike tours in the area, including the Tour de
Greene, Tour de Madison, Boys and Girls Club Challenge, and the MS 150
Tour de Vine.
Here are some local road bike routes, along with information
about a Monday/Wednesday group ride in nearby Earlysville.
