Transmission Line Update
31 Jan 2012 Here is the latest update from Dominion Power regarding the transmission line that runs through Forest Lakes North. Constuction will begin in February.

FY12 FLCA Budget Approved
Updated 9 Nov 2011 The FLCA Board approved the FY12 budget, with annual assessments staying at $780.  The final budget documents are available on the Forms and Documents page.

Forest Lakes and Hollymead Lawsuit

Western Bypass Updates
Updated 21 Nov 2011  On 11/11/11, VDOT issued an amended Request For Proposal (RFP) pertaining to the Western By-Pass that included all of the recommendations for the northern terminus submitted by Ken Boyd’s Western Bypass Northern Terminus Committee, including no additional traffic signals, no U-turns, and a location on the western side of Rt. 29 south of Ashwood Blvd. The amendment also requires the northern terminus be designed to incorporate the widening of Rt. 29 to six lanes.

Reminders

Signs
A reminder that No Signs on Common PropertyForest Lakes by-laws prohibit signs, including political and "For Sale" signs on common property except to advertise an open house on the day of the open house.  Signs in violation of this regulation will be removed.

Renovating or Thinking about Removing a Tree?
Most exterior changes to your home, including landscaping changes require prior approval from the Architectural Review Board (ARB).  This Sheds require ARB approvalincludes, but is not limited to,  fences (including invisible ones), sheds, tree removal (greater than 6 inches in diameter), and paint color changes.  Information on procedures and forms, is on the Architectural Review page.
